From five star hotels to tents in the wild primal nature, there is a wide range of sleeping accommodations in the Dead Sea area.
Five star and five star deluxe hotels
Most of these hotels are brand name hotels, the most famous being the Dead Sea Herods. These luxurious hotels are typically set close to the Dead Sea and will have a private beach for hotel guests, inner salt water pools with Dead Sea water and a spa. Families with young children will enjoy free activities for kids, such as painting hours and play room.
Four star hotels
These hotels are usually not as new as five star hotels. While they may not have private beaches, they still offer good food, a short walking distance to a nearby beach and a spa. Some of these hotels may also offer children a play room, although they usually appeal to an older crowd.
Deluxe guest cabin
Guest cabins (also called Zimmers) offer great accommodations for lower costs. These getaways are located in nearby villages and their guests enjoy a relaxing vacation in a romantic cabin completed with a Jacuzzi, chocolates and wine, and candle light. An Israeli romantic breakfast is served to your doorstep every morning. While the cabin may be a short drive away from the Dead Sea itself, they are perfect for romantic couples and for families who prefer personal service and a lot of nature around.
Guest rooms
Unlike the fancy guest cabins, guest rooms offer a simple and down to earth experience in a nearby Kibbutz. Rooms are equipped with basic things a traveler needs: AC, a TV set, a small kitchen, and a simple breakfast. Guests who stay in guest rooms will get guidance about trips in the area, maps, and coupons, but will have to attend to their meals. As in guest cabins, you will need to drive to the beach or take a bicycle trip to the beach and back. It’s a great option for families on a budget and real nature lovers.
